Dane Singer is an actor who has been involved in several theatrical endeavors and is excited to participate in many more. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Performing Arts. When it comes to acting, Dane is among the most willing people to help out, no matter how strange or wild the project might be. Artist’s Statement
As an artist, I believe, at a fundamental level, that art should be something everyone can enjoy. Art should be something that others can be inspired by, something that people should look at and think to themselves “this changed my life for the better”. While not all art should necessarily be life-changing, art should still have a positive impact on a person, big or small. Whether the art is music, painting, theatre, or any other medium, art should be universally appreciated and available for anyone to enjoy. I am an actor with a focus on voice over work. This is the field I feel happiest in because this is the field that lets me share my best artwork with others. There is so much joy and inspiration that can be found from projects that need voices. Anything from video games to cartoons to voicing funny memes online can and should be considered art, and so I want nothing more than to help those projects become successful in inspiring others to create their own art. Art should not be something that is exclusively available for the elite to enjoy or for the wealthy to wonder about; it should be something a small child from a small community can see and think “I want to be like that”. As a voiceover artist, I want to provide that feeling of joy for others to draw from. Which is why my own work has so much love poured into it. Art is fun to create and share, so, naturally, I enjoy doing it. I love voicing the timid boy in the library, the hyper-intelligent detective solving the case, and the traitorous villain planning to defeat the hero of the story because they are all fun. The only reason I discovered this passion for voice acting was by seeing the love professionals poured into their projects. My goal as an artist is to provide others with that same feeling through my own voice acting abilities. I wouldn’t be in this position that provides me with so much joy without seeing other voice actors sharing their gifts. So my goal is to share my gift, as well. And my hope is that, one day, another voice may join this field because of my work.
